Will Dorsey

Will Dorsey, born in Baltimore, Maryland, began playing drums in 1982 and cites influences such as Peter Criss, Anton Fig, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Vinnie Paul, Will Calhoun, Phillip Fish Fisher, and John Stanier. He has also played with Dead End Amelia and Laughing Colors, and has worked as a drum technician for major artists including Adele, Lizzo, The Offspring, and 311 Dorsey’s entry into Body Count was serendipitous. While practicing in Los Angeles for the band Blaxmyth, he was told by a studio manager that Body Count needed a drummer urgently for the Warped Tour 15th Anniversary party. A fan of the band’s 1992 debut, he contacted bassist Vincent Price, who invited him to audition. The session was unusual — Ice‑T even walked over to his kit mid‑performance, miking the kick drum — and Dorsey’s quick learning of the band’s unrehearsed track “Disorder” helped secure the job
